On-Campus Opportunity for Students to Gain International Experience

Hello from the Office of International Services!
In an effort to build cross-cultural awareness and foster student success, the Office of International Services offers two programs which help new incoming international students acclimate to life on campus and to the Raleigh area.  We are now recruiting current NC State students (local and international) to participate in these programs in which they will gain valuable leadership, engagement, and cross-cultural experience. Small Pack Leaders will assist the OIS with International Graduate Student Orientation, while Culture to Culture Ambassadors will assist new international undergraduate students throughout their orientation and the fall 2017 semester. Each program includes training and support from the OIS staff and our partners, and provides student leadership opportunities
that strengthen the campus community and global learning.
We have created an Orientation Volunteer Programs billboard and would greatly appreciate it if you could please include it in your rotation and please forward the information below to any students who may be interested.
Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you for your time and your support of our programs. We sincerely appreciate your help in promoting these opportunities!
Best Regards,
Stacy

Greetings from the Office of International Services!
We are very excited to welcome over 1,000 new international students to campus this fall and are looking for volunteers for our Small Pack Leaders and Culture to Culture Ambassadors (CCAP) program. Each program includes training and support from the Office of International Services staff and our partners, and provides leadership opportunities that strengthen the campus community and global learning. We hope you will join the OIS in welcoming our new international students to campus this fall!
Small Pack Leaders
Small Pack Leaders (SPLs) are
students (international and local)
and community members who play
an integral role in answering basic questions from a group of 25-30 new international graduate students about the university and Raleigh.Small Pack Leaders (SPLs) also assist the new international students during the OIS International Graduate Student Orientation and may choose to help OIS with other orientation activities such as OIS Check-In.For more details, please review the  Small Pack Leader (SPL) webpage.

CCAP Ambassadors
CCAP Ambassadors are undergraduate students who will help fellow undergraduate international students before their arrival to the U.S. and during their first semester at NC State. Ambassadors provide fundamental support to the new students by introducing them to campus, connecting them to the academic resources available, and helping them acclimate to life in Raleigh. The program requires a commitment of one semester. For more details, please review the CCAP webpage.
