Job Shadow Day (Blue Cross NC)

We are excited to announce that the Actuarial Services department at Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina will be hosting a Job Shadow Day on September 29^th from 9:00am-3:00pm at our Durham campus. This will be an opportunity for interested students to get a general overview of the profession and interact one-on-one with our Actuaries. We will also provide an overview of our internship program and our Actuarial Development Program for full-time positions. Our human resources staff will also join us and be available to answer any questions on the application/new hire process.

Interested Students who are willing to commit to this day and time must respond to Dana.Royal@bcbsnc.com by 5pm on Monday, September 11^th with the following information:

Tell us briefly about yourself and your interest in the actuarial field, including any actuarial exams you have passed and/or past actuarial internship or work experience.

This session is tailored specifically to those who already have some basic awareness of the profession and will be seeking internships or full time employment over the next 3 to 9 months.

Slots are limited so if interest is high, a selection process will be used. Students will be notified of selection within a week after the deadline, and more information about the logistics of the day will be provided at that time.
