Fellowship Advising Office Fall 2017 events/deadlines

Three (3) campus-wide sessions will be held next week in addition to multiple unit-specific sessions and workshops throughout the semester; pending demand, more sessions may be added to our schedule.

These sessions will cover: graduate school funding via non-endorsed awards (9/18 at 6:30PM, Park Shops, room 201), study abroad/international program awards (9/20 at 5PM, Caldwell Hall, room 0G110), and the Goldwater Scholarship & DAAD RISE internship (STEM research interest; 9/20 at 6:30PM, Caldwell Hall, room 0G110).
We hope you will use the following suggested email/social media text, attachments, and FAO messaging to inform your student populations. We also hope you will personally and directly encourage one or more students to attend a session or to schedule a meeting with us if they cannot attend any sessions. Thank you for your help!

Fellowship Advising Office (FAO) fall 2017 sessions and deadlines
What: A set of informal meetings to introduce students to extraordinary funded opportunities to attend graduate school, study or intern abroad, conduct research, and more.
Why: Students can learn about these award opportunities and FAO’s services weeks in advance of fall and spring deadlines. Students can then schedule time to meet with FAO staff, who will help guide students and work with them to write compelling and tailored application statements. Ultimately, students can begin building relationships early with FAO staff and obtain guidance for additional extraordinary opportunities as older students and as alums.
