SMCM REU 2018 – upper math courses not needed!
The SMCM ESP REU is running this summer June 11–July 28. Applications are now being accepted through the REU website. They are due April 1.
Please forward the URL to anyone you think may have interested students (or may be an interested student). Remember that the ESP REU is only open to students who
- have not had any upper-level coursework (linear algebra, vector or FOM (or similar bridge course) is acceptable, but not abstract algebra, analysis or other courses at that level)
- are US citizens or permanent residents
- have completed Calc II (possibly some flexibility here)
- will be full-time undergrads in 2018–2019.
Note: The above is for non-SMCM students. There is a separate application process for SMCM students. If you know a SMCM student who you think would be a good fit for the REU, please let me or Emek know.
