SCMB Undergraduate Workshop

Come explore the intersection where mathematics meets biology!

The Southeast Center for Mathematics and Biology (SCMB), headquartered at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, GA, invites applications for our 2019 Math-Bio Interface Undergraduate Workshop.

The workshop will run from 1:30 pm on Monday, August 5th, through 12:00 pm on Friday, August 9th, 2019.

This year focus is MOLECULAR ORIGAMI, and the week’s activities will include many “hands on” experiences, such as tours of research labs on campus and interactive problem sessions.

Career opportunities in mathematics and biology will also be addressed.

Apply through the https://www.mathprograms.org website.

Review of applications will begin on May 24th, and continue until the workshop is filled.
Applications should include: (1) a brief cover letter which describes interest in this interdisciplinary workshop, (2) one reference letter from faculty which addresses goals and motivation, (3) a current CV/resume, and (4) a current college/university transcript (unofficial is fine).
