Coons wins Best Poster Award
Mathematics PhD candidate Jane Coons won the award for best poster at the 2019 SIAM Conference on Applied Algebraic Geometry in Bern, Switzerland. Her poster was titled “Maximum Likelihood Degree of the Small Linear Gaussian Covariance Model.” The results featured on the poster are joint work with Orlando Marigliano and recent NCSU graduate, Dr. Michael Ruddy.
