45th Annual New York State Regional Graduate Mathematics Conference

It is my great pleasure to invite you to the 45th Annual New York State Regional Graduate Mathematics Conference (NYSRGMC).

What: Graduate Student Conference & Undergraduate Poster Session
When: March 28–29, 2020
Where: Syracuse University (Syracuse, NY)
Who: Graduate/Undergraduate students from any field
Keynote Speakers: Professor Theodora Bourni & Professor Bruce Sagan
Registration: https://forms.gle/q715oQogBVmQYXnH8
Conference Website: http://mgo.syr.edu/conferences/upcoming/

Each year since its inception in 1974, this conference has been run and organized exclusively by mathematics graduate students of Syracuse University. This conference provides all graduate students from the northeast and beyond an opportunity to present research in their field, as well as the chance to be exposed to research in other areas.

The highlights of the conference each year are the two principal addresses given by our invited speakers. We are very excited to welcome Theodora Bourni of the University of Tennessee Knoxville and Bruce Sagan of Michigan State University.

For the first time, there will be an undergraduate poster session offering undergraduate students an opportunity to present any research they have done during an REU or otherwise.

There is funding available for travel and lodging. Priority will be given to graduate students giving talks and to underrepresented groups. Due to limited funding, we will not be funding travel or lodging for undergraduate students. To request funding, please be sure to register by February 1, 2020. Register via the link above.

Please, forward this email to anyone that might be interested in attending, giving a talk, or presenting a poster at the conference. I have also attached a conference poster if you see fit to post it somewhere. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, feel free to contact the conference at mgosyracuse@gmail.com or me personally.

Best,

Erin Griffin
