Recruiting peer tutors and mentors

The University Tutorial Center (UTC) is currently recruiting peer tutors and mentors for summer and fall 2020.  Both positions are paid opportunities for students who enjoy helping their peers be academically successful.

The first step in the application process is to view an information session – either watch the video presentation or participate in a Zoom offering (the next Zoom offering is April 13th).  Please see go.ncsu.edu/utc-employment for further information.

Peer Tutors support the following courses:

• CH 100, 101, 111, 201, 220, 221, 223
• MA 107, 108, 111, 114, 121, 131, 141, 231, 241, 242
• PY 131, 205, 208, 211, 212

Peer Mentors support the following skills (non-content specific):

• Time management
• Organization
• Active Study Skills
• Note taking
• Test taking strategies

Currently the UTC is scheduled to move to the new Academic Success Center in D.H. Hill, Jr Library in fall 2020!  Be looking for further information this summer about our move and new programming!
