Preparing Teachers by “Modeling the Model”

Preparing Teachers by “Modeling the Model”

“Do as I say, not as I do.”

That’s not our style. At the High Meadows Graduate School, a competency-based M.Ed. program built in collaboration with MIT, we model with teacher candidates the ways that we hope they’ll work with their students. What does this look like? A program that is personalized to each candidate’s abilities and needs. A program that is collaborative, in which candidates work closely with faculty and their peers to co-design learning experiences. And a program that is focused on making teachers ready for the schools of tomorrow.

As part of our commitment to increasing the number of highly qualified STEM teachers, the HM Graduate School offers a limited number of full-tuition fellowships. Know someone with a strong background in math or science who’s interested in teaching?
