BASF Student Networking Mixer and COS Diversity in STEM Event

Here are a few upcoming opportunities related to the College of Science’s Diversity in STEM Event taking place on Tuesday, February 16.

1) BASF is hosting a Virtual Student Networking Mixer on Tuesday, February 16 from 4:30 – 5:15 p.m. via Zoom. All class years and majors are encouraged to sign up. BASF wants to meet our students, particularly those who may be interested in working at BASF. At the mixer, BASF will give a brief overview and then everyone will break out into small groups on Zoom and will rotate groups a couple of times.

BASF asks that students come prepared to introduce themselves and have 2-3 questions ready to ask BASF representatives. Example questions are below. By attending the mixer, students will learn more about BASF, their culture and why diversity and inclusion is important to them. Cameras and professional attire is requested to participate.

You can sign up to attend the BASF Student Networking Mixer here. The deadline to register is Feb. 12. Space is limited so please sign up early. You are also encouraged to sign up for the keynote lecture immediately following the mixer below!

2) The College’s Diversity in STEM Event takes place on Feb. 16 from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. following the Student Networking Mixer. All students are welcome and encouraged to attend. You can find more information and register here.

If you have questions on any of the above, please reach out to Alex Byrd at arbyrd2@ncsu.edu.

Take care and stay safe!

Best,

Kathy Titus-Becker
