TRIO Programs Accepting Students Now
Success at North Carolina State University is reached through building a community. TRIO Student Support Services Programs at NC State provides individualized support to undergraduate students in all matters related to academics, finances, career and personal development. The goal of TRIO is to prepare students to be competitive applicants for graduate school or employment in their chosen field.
TRIO provides free supplemental tutoring, opportunities for summer grant aid, graduate school and industry visits, financial planning, cultural events and more. At the heart of TRIO are the staff members who work individually with each student to ensure their academic, career, financial and personal success.
To become a member of TRIO, students need to apply and meet the following criteria: In addition to having a strong commitment to academic success the student must meet at least ONE of the following: 1. Parents/guardians in the student’s household did not earn a bachelor’s degree before you entered college OR 2. Meet income qualifications (reviewed on student application) OR 3. Registered with NC State Disability Resource Office.
