Dr. Melinda Thielbar, who has a PhD in Statistics, will lead this fun, interactive workshop on art as a way to communicate your ideas. 

About the Workshop:

We’re going to draw! Art is a form of communication, and we’ll use concepts from comic book art to communicate something we want to explain. Melinda will demonstrate by comparing a plain-English explanation of a math concept with a visual explanation of a math concept. Then we’ll work through the steps to create your own masterpiece.
