Dávid Papp Receives Excellence Award

Mathematics faculty Dr. Dávid Papp received the Sanjay and Panna Mehrotra Research Excellence Award from the Health Applications Society of INFORMS, the largest international society for practitioners in the fields of operations research and management science. The award is given to one mid-career researcher each year, “for significant contributions to the practice of health applications through operations research (OR) and management science (MS) modeling and methodologies”. Dr. Papp, whose research interests span theoretical, computational, and applied aspects of mathematical optimization, was recognized for his work on mathematical optimization in radiation therapy.
