Paid Summer Internships with the Department of Energy
Which of your students needs a great summer internship to boost their confidence and bolster their resume? I know from my experience as a community college dean that a personal invitation often gives students the courage to reach for something that they might not otherwise have considered, and I am hoping you will think of students who will benefit from a great summer internship and encourage them to apply. Here are the details on this opportunity:
Program: Minority Serving Educational Institute Student Partnership Program (MEISPP)
Majors: All majors
Open to: US citizens who are undergraduates, graduate students, recent graduates (since Spring 2022) at/from eligible MSIs
What: Opportunities at DOE offices and labs all over the U.S. (though mostly with DOE HQ in Washington, DC)
Dates: May 20 – August 9; extensions into academic year possible
Mode: In-person and virtual opportunities
Stipends: $14,000 – $31,000, depending on participation mode and educational level.
