U.S. Department of State Recruiting Visit to Our Campus

The U.S. Department of State will be visiting our campus on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, offering a rare chance for our academic community to engage with influential figures shaping international relations.

We are honored to host distinguished NC State alumnus Gentry Smith, currently serving as the Assistant Secretary of State for Diplomatic Security. With extensive experience in safeguarding diplomatic missions and personnel globally, Smith’s visit not only promises valuable insights into diplomatic affairs but also serves as an inspiration for our current students. 

The day’s events include a panel discussion, career fair, and a fireside chat. Additionally, the Department will showcase an armored car and a mobile command center.  All events will take place in the Talley Student Union. For a detailed agenda, please visit:
