Opportunity for Undergraduates to Present at the 2025 AMS Spring Southeastern Sectional Meeting at Clemson University

The AMS SE Undergraduate Special Session Organizers announce a unique opportunity for our undergraduate researchers to present during the 2025 AMS Spring Southeastern Sectional Meeting (March 8-9) – https://www.ams.org/meetings/sectional/2324_program.html taking place at Clemson University. We have designed a Special Session entitled: Undergraduate Mathematics and Statistics Research. As the name suggests, this session is aimed at highlighting the undergraduate research being conducted throughout the Southeastern region. It will also introduce our students to the American Mathematical Society (AMS), encourage them to become active and begin networking.

The students will need to register and submit their abstract no later than January 14th, 2025 to the AMS page listed below.

During this session, undergraduate students are encouraged to give a 10 – 15 minute talk highlighting any past or on-going research. In addition to the opportunity to present, our students will have the advantage of:

  • Networking with others within the fields of mathematics and statistics,
  • Being inspired by AMS Sectional Meeting Invited Talks,
  • Being exposed to possible post-graduation opportunities, and
  • Being able to attend other special sessions to explore advanced topics in different fields of mathematics and statistics.

Question: Who is qualified to apply for the opportunity to present at this Special Session of the 2025 AMS Spring Sectional Meeting?
