The University of Nebraska-Lincoln is thrilled to announce that registration for the 27th Annual Nebraska Conference for Undergraduate Women in Mathematics (NCUWM) is officially open! This year’s event will take place in Lincoln, Nebraska, from January 31 to February 2, 2025 – and you won’t want to miss it!
Why Attend NCUWM 2025?
This is your chance to connect with passionate peers, present your own research, and be inspired by some of the most incredible women mathematicians in the field today! The conference is all about empowering you with knowledge, confidence, and a community that will support you on your journey toward a thriving career in mathematics. Whether you’re aiming for graduate school or exploring the vast opportunities in academia, industry, or government, this conference has something for everyone.
Present Your Research:
Have you tackled a challenging problem or made exciting discoveries? Now’s your time to shine! Submit an abstract for a talk or poster session, and share your findings with fellow aspiring mathematicians. But hurry – spots are limited, and applications to present are due by October 18, 2024.
For All Students and Faculty:
Even if you’re not presenting, we encourage you to register! Non-presenter and faculty registrations are open until November 15, 2024, or until we reach capacity. Join us to expand your network, attend talks, and engage in stimulating discussions with mathematicians across disciplines.
2025 Conference Highlights:
- Plenary talks by phenomenal women mathematicians, including:
- Dr. Shelly Harvey, Rice University
- Dr. Ulrike Meier Yang, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory
- Dr. Tasha Inniss, Spelman College (to be confirmed)
- Panels and group discussions with mathematicians from academia, industry, and government.
- Special efforts to provide mentorship opportunities, especially for underrepresented minorities in the field.

- General Registration Deadline: November 15, 2024 (or until full!)
