University of Arizona Graduate Program in Mathematics
The University of Arizona would like to invite you to consider applying to the Graduate Program in Mathematics!
They are located in Tucson, Arizona and have internationally recognized faculty supervising student research in a variety of fields in Mathematics, including Number Theory, Geometry & Topology, Algebra, Analysis, Applied Mathematics, Probability & Statistics, and Mathematics Education.
Some features of their programs are:
- Teaching Assistantships, fellowships, and scholarships to our PhD students for support up to six years.
- A five-day bridge program for incoming students called the “Integration Workshop.”
- An early research project in the second year of the PhD program.
- A student success course for first year students working on transition to graduate school, program requirements, and critical conversations about race and gender.
- Special funding opportunities for exceptional students and students who are underrepresented minorities or first-generation college students.
- Opportunities for outreach to local schools and the community.
- A waiver of the application fee (so, this year, it is free to apply)
