The Environment Analytics research group is looking to hire two to three undergraduate research assistants to work on projects in forecast model verification, and cloud, boundary layer, and precipitation processes. Projects involve the processing and analysis of several types of weather observation data sets from ground-based, airborne, and satellite sensors as well as forecast model output from global and regional models. Key data sets used in analysis include lidars, radars, and weather station measurements from the Environmental Analytics long-term atmospheric observing site in eastern North Carolina.
