AWM is happy to announce that we will be bringing back our Sonia Kovalevsky (SK) Day event this year, which will take place on Saturday, April 9th from 9:15a-2:00p in SAS Hall on NCSU’s campus. Sonia Kovalevsky was the first major female mathematician and, in honor of her, schools across the nation host an SK Day to encourage young women to gain more interest in the mathematical sciences.

This event would not be possible without volunteers, and so AWM is asking for your help! We need volunteers to help throughout the day with registration/check-in, workshops, transitions, and just creating a fun, positive atmosphere for all participants. We will provide lunch (and Howling Cow ice cream!) for all volunteers.
