Call for Nominations for October Research Slam
We are excited to announce the return of the Research Slam this fall in collaboration with the Library! Undergraduate researchers will have 5 minutes and 5 slides to share their research with a lay audience. I’m reaching out to all of you today to ask for your nominations for student speakers. Projects do not need to be complete, works in progress are welcome.
Please reach out to us if you have a student in mind who you think would do a great job of sharing their research with a broad audience-no later than October 2, 2023. Just send us their name and e-mail and we’ll take care of the rest. Following these exciting presentations will be a brief panel discussion for visitors to ask questions. Mentors looking for mentees are especially encouraged to attend to meet undergraduates looking to get started in research.
Please note that we are looking to showcase speakers representing a wide range of disciplines so you are encouraged to share this message with your colleagues. The Research Slam will take place October 26, 2023 from 4:00-5:00 in D. H. Hill Jr. Library, Fishbowl Forum.
