Mathematics Minor

Undergraduates pursuing a major in another department can minor in math. The course requirements include 15 hours of upper-level courses (in addition to a required calculus track) completed at C- level or higher.

Steps for obtaining a minor in mathematics

  • Complete a required calculus track with C or better in each course.
  • Application for admission to the Math minor program is now available via MyPack Portal.  Admission will be based upon the student’s academic record.  To apply to Add a Minor, go to: https://go.ncsu.edu/minor_coda.
  • Complete the 15 hours of upper-level math courses with C- or better. No more than 6 of these credit hours may be from transfer courses.
  • When you apply for graduation, you will also need to apply for your minor. The minor application is part of the graduation application in MyPack Portal.
