Wolfram Language for Mathematical Computation

Association for Women in Mathematics at NC State

The SIAM Student Chapter is hosting a virtual session with Luke Titus from Wolfram Research, and I was wondering if you could please help advertise it to our undergraduate students.

The session will be a hands-on introduction to symbolic and numerical computation in Wolfram Language, including equations and recurrences, linear algebra and SVD, visualization, and ODE/PDE and finite element examples. It will be greatly useful for undergraduates interested in mathematical computing, research, or learning Mathematica.

Mathematica is available through NC State’s site license. Students can also try the short training notebook beforehand to follow along with the session: https://wolfr.am/1IrLDcZsM

Students interested in research opportunities can also ask questions on Wolfram Summer School, which offers project-based research experiences with Wolfram mentors.
