Recognition and Awards

Our department is among the nation’s most successful in securing research funding in mathematics. Junior faculty have received Packard and Sloan Fellowships, as well as National Science Foundation CAREER and PECASE awards. Senior faculty include 12 Fellows of major research societies, including the American Mathematical Society, the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, the Institute of Mathematical Statistics, and the Association for Computing Machinery.
