Applied Mathematics, Mathematical Foundations of Data Science Concentration
The Mathematical Foundations of Data Science Concentration within the Applied Mathematics BS program equips students with the mathematical tools and computational techniques essential for data science. Through theoretical and project-based learning, students apply mathematical models, algorithms, and statistical methods to analyze and interpret real-world data. The concentration prepares students to tackle complex data challenges across various industries, with a strong foundation in the mathematics that drives data science.
Students interested in this program should first discuss it with the Director of Undergraduate Programs in Mathematics, Dr. Duca.
