Research Abroad

Conducting research abroad is a great way to add research into your time at NC State and combine it with the exploration of a new place and culture. Opportunities exist for any field/discipline at all times of the year, and the experience can also be combined with a study abroad experience. Submit Your Humanities Research to the Macksey Symposium!

The Richard Macksey National Undergraduate Humanities Research Symposium brings together students across all fields of the humanities to present their work to a national audience. The 2026 Macksey Symposium will be held from March 19-21, 2026, on the Johns Hopkins University Homewood Campus in Baltimore. Submissions will be accepted from September 2 through December 1, 2025. Submit your research proposal here and learn more about the symposium here!
