Applied Mathematics, Financial Concentration

The bachelor of science in applied mathematics program offers a concentration in financial mathematics that is a refinement of the applied mathematics degree. This program prepares students for careers in financial mathematics, actuarial science and portfolio management. Graduates will also be prepared for graduate study in mathematics or financial mathematics. With thoughtful planning students in this program could earn a minor in statistics and/or economics.

Students interested in this program should first discuss it with the Director of Undergraduate Programs in Mathematics, Dr. Duca.
