Make a Difference: National Security R&D Careers at Sandia National Laboratories

Brief: Math/Stat careers info session with food, career fairs, 1:1 career discussions with SNL recruiters

R&D Staff from Sandia National Laboratories, including NCSU Math alum Brian Adams, will be on campus recruiting top mathematics and statistics students. With sites in NM and CA, SNL is a Department of Energy laboratory conducting wide-ranging science and engineering R&D to resolve the nation’s most challenging national security issues (see 70 Ways).

Abstract: NCSU alums will lead an information session including a brief overview of SNL’s mission, R&D areas, and particular opportunities in Mathematics, Statistics, and Data Science. Staff and project profiles will demonstrate the ways you can contribute to high-impact problems in the national interest through fundamental R&D, software/hardware development, and working in interdisciplinary teams on science and engineering applications. We are hiring at all degree levels.
