Fenn Named Alumni Distinguished Undergraduate Professor

Teaching Associate Professor of Mathematics Molly Fenn, Assistant Department Head, has earned the title Alumni Distinguished Undergraduate Professor. Others in the department previously recognized by this university-wide award for their high-quality undergraduate teaching are Min Kang, John Griggs, Robert Martin, Moody Chu, Jo-Ann Cohen, Ernest Stitzinger, and Sandra Paur (Emerita).

MA 231 Receives Quality Matters Certification

Quality Matters, a national organization that certifies the quality of online courses, has recognized MA 231 online as meeting its research-based Standards for effective online courses that increase learner engagement, retention and satisfaction, and, ultimately, learner achievement. Congratulations to Molly Fenn, who worked with DELTA to achieve this certification, held by only a few dozen online Calculus courses nationwide.

DataFest is a data analysis competition where teams of up to 5 students attack a large, complex, and surprise dataset over a weekend. Your job is to represent your school by finding and communicating insights into these data. The teams that impress the judges will win prizes as well as glory for their school. REU at IUPUI

Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) just received word that our NSF REU has been renewed for the next three summers.  We had a very successful program the past three summers, and we look forward to hosting 8 undergraduate research students in Summer 2019 (June 17 - August 2, 2019).

Summer 2019 Research and Creative Works Proposals Now Being Accepted

The Office of Undergraduate Research through the Division of Academic & Student Affairs (DASA) will provide undergraduate research and scholarship awards ranging in amounts up to $2,500* to undergraduate students for research projects for the Summer semesters. These awards are open to all disciplines for students pursuing undergraduate research, scholarship and creative activities. The number of awards given is determined by amount of funding available at the time the selection process occurs. Proposals are reviewed by faculty/post-docs within the home college of the mentor.
