Meeting of the Minds – Applications Now Accepted through 1/23/18

Each year, usually in late March or early April, 5-10 outstanding undergraduate researchers (accompanied by a faculty/staff member) from each ACC university gather at a host university to present their research, either verbally or as a poster.

MTBI 2018: Applications Open

MTBI is an intensive summer research experience that prepares undergraduate students for the rigors of graduate level research at the interface of mathematics, statistics, and the natural and social sciences. Select students are invited to Arizona State University for eight weeks, where their time is split between classroom instruction on research methods and hands-on research projects.

NC Teaching Fellows

We are proud to announce that the NC State College of Education has been selected as a Teaching Fellows Program site. As a NC State University Teaching Fellow, current students can receive a scholarship of $8,250 per year for up to 2 years if they transition to a STEM Education major or add a STEM Education major.

The 2017 Virginia Tech Regional Mathematics Contest recently took place in October. More than 200 colleges and universities are invited to participate each year.

UTK Undergraduate Math Conference in 2018

The conference will give undergraduate students a chance to present their research, to hear about the research of others, and to meet with other students over a free lunch. Giving a talk is not required.
