Career Paths Presentation

I am planning to give a presentation to the graduate training seminar this Friday on Career Paths.  My idea is to highlight the extra things (besides just coursework and research) that students should be doing to set themselves up for the jobs they want in different possible directions.

Math in Costa Rica summer program

Interested in studying abroad in summer 2019? Did you know that you can take UNC courses abroad? I will be teaching MATH381 "Discrete Math" in Costa Rica. This will be a 4-week program, 7th May to 5th June, based in San José but with plenty of time to travel and see more of the country. If you are studying Spanish, this is a great immersive experience to improve your language skills. If you don't speak any Spanish, that is fine too - there is no language requirement!

REU at NC A&T State University

 The REU Summer Program in Data Science and Analytics is part of the growing data science program at NC A&T State University. Students will participate in well-structured undergraduate research projects, training workshops, seminars and colloquia featuring guest speakers, and will present their results at conferences. Students will acquire several skills including hands-on experiences to help them become great researchers in the future.
